OK. Maybe it was a bit too obscure. But at least one viewer got it. Elliot Fujisaki sent in the correct location:

The 4600 block of Hollywood Blvd.

Located just up the street from the KCET studios, this block has an interesting mix of shops - many specializing in odd or vintage stuff - a few restaurants and that all-important LA staple, a car wash.

Cool Places: 4600 block, Hollywood Blvd.

Soap Plant and WACKO
Soaps, essential oils, great book collection and lots of odd stuff

Ozzie Dots
One-stop shopping for fake beards and mustaches, costumes and kooky hats

Glory
Vintage motorcycle wear (and a few great old bikes) menswear, t-shirts and jeans

Yuca's
Try the cochinita pibil burrito or the chicken torta

Fresh Pressed Screen Shop
Create your own design and silk-screen it on a t-shirt. They'll help

Jake
Vintage and vintage-like men's clothes in a museum-like setting

Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop
Step back in time. Vintage mag rack, hot-lather trim, straight razor shaves
