This week's segments:

Running Out of Luck - By Correspondent John Ridley - We wondered how Las Vegas, often referred to as a "suburb of Los Angeles," was faring in this economically challenging climate.

Gold Diggers - By Correspondent Judy Muller - You can still find prospectors searching for gold in the San Gabriel River, though these days rather than sifting through pans of dirt, he probably has a GPS, a hydraulic pump and an SUV to get him up the hills.

Locke High Graduation - Producer Angela Shelley - Even though Locke High is now a charter school with higher academic standards, students are still as likely to drop out as graduate. The odds were against the three students we followed on Inside Locke High and Return to Locke High - Joanna Alatorre, Damon Horton and Bryan Ordaz - did they make it?

robin missed the point.. when people are hurting and losing their homes they don't want to hear that the banksters are going to vegas for a party.. goldman sucks is still rubbing it in everyone's face by giving their managers huge bonuses.. for what? taking tarp money and cooking the books?
the economy is in real trouble and so is vegas. there is no green shoots there.
