The Seven Steps To Earthquake Safety

California Earthquake Authority Logo

KCET is partnering with the California Earthquake Authority to raise awareness and provide resources to help you prepare for an earthquake. California Earthquake Authority is a publicly managed, not-for-profit, privately funded organization that provides residential earthquake insurance and encourages Californians to reduce their risk of earthquake damage and loss. They focus on education and awareness.

Their website includes a variety of links to earthquake organizations, along with videos, checklists, and a running update of the most recent quakes.

As The Great ShakeOut approaches in October, we will be updating you with articles and images of California's historical earthquakes, as well as providing you with more valuable resources.

Get more information on earthquake preparedness at the California Earthquake Authoritiy's Get Prepared page.
