While many of us are against the wars our leaders are waging on innocent civilians, and we, the people, are disgusted at the lack of services for our own people, ie. New Orleans floods, etc, Noam Chomsky and other insightful writers predicted that these behaviors by our government officials would become the norm.
Our government purposely drags its feet when we are in trouble, knowing that the public will come to the rescue of our citizens.
It has been predicted that we would wage wars on countries that could not defend themselves, such as Laos, Viet Nam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
We, the public, do the best we can in elections and in our social work. and we can also do the best we can in our everyday behavior, in spite of what our "leaders" do.
We need to know that we have each other. We are not alone.
