I bought my house in the Oaks back in 1987 when I was in college. The neighborhood back then was quiet, very quiet because most of the homeowners were seniors who had bought their houses as newlyweds. The original houses were built back in the late '20s. They were allowed to subdivide their acreage in 1957 and my home was built on my neighbor's backyard.

I live my life on a schedule. Work starts at 6:30 am and ends at 5:30pm. The highlight of my day is my walk with the dogs. It's a chance to get away and into the fresh air.

If I was to ever to be on a street and Jesse Edwards walked by, I would not nod hello, because I have never met him. However, when his emails and messages on Facebook pop up, I greet a good friend with a big hello back.

I am going to pull out that warm cozy chestnut of a line again, "in the old days...." you would only see your high school friends once every decade, if you went to the reunion. That's if you wanted to go or had any inclination to see how everyone turned out.

Command P / Command Shift I / Command Shift Esc......Short cuts on your keyboard to help you do the job faster. Your brain sends the signal to your fingers and they fly over the keyboard like a pianist practicing the scales. Short cuts were created to save you time, but are they really just a way to avoid the well worn path that others travel?
