My New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year! So 2009 heralds in Hope, Courage and Change. What about your New Year's resolutions? I have made my list of Ten Resolutions. Not your usual list of "eat less", "smile more" and "call home more often", but a list of internet resolutions - the kind no one really knows about except you and only you will know if you stick to them.

Resolution 1
I promise never to join another Social Network with a logo all in lower case.

Resolution 2
I will always remember to choose "Do Not Send Me Hourly Updates on Our Hot Specials"

Resolution 3
I promise never to email when I am really really mad.

Resolution 4
I promise never to send 12 mgb image files to my mom's dial up email address.

Resolution 5
I promise to stop sending cute kitten YouTubes to all my friends.

Resolution 6
I promise to hold back the chuckle reflex when I see SEO/Marketing/PR/Internet Guru on a profile.

Resolution 7
I promise not to have all my news aggregated by an aggregator and then Tumblr-ed to my Facebook page, which then sends an update to my Friendfeed which then to posts to the bouncy desktop widget on my desktop.

Resolution 8
I promise not to Tweet about the temperature of my third coffee.

Resolution 9
I promise not use "LOL" more than once a day. And never "ROFLMAO".

Resolution 10
I will put my bookmarks on a diet.

I hope to be able to hold strong on my New Year's Resolutions, if I don't I only have my insatiable appetite for the "new" and my short attention span to blame.

Awww, I'm going to miss those cute kitten videos, haha. Happy 2009, dearie!

Fine, as long as you keep sending the chain letters around! ;)

I never saw a link of cute kittens. Send them my way! Also love #7. I can so relate. Good luck on you resolutions... I think you'll have no difficulties achieving them.

Oh Danh,
You were one of the lucky ones that didn't get the Cute Kittens. Thanks for visiting! :O) ophelia

Alberto,
You are first and last on my list of email chain letters and the ones about making money while sleeping. :O) ophelia

Dear Emily,

You are the only one I can send those to. I have to save them all up for you and I love the ones you send to me. Meow. :O) ophelia

Wow, I'm very proud of you for trying not to e-mail when you're mad. I can't do that, I think the best e-mails I've ever written were when I was super pissed off. When I'm in a verbal fight, I always think, "damn I should have said THAT!" But, I'm awesome at getting all the venom into those angry e-mails! Ha! That would be an awesome book, "Top 100 Angry E-mails." I need to pitch that around.

Shereen,
A book of "angry mad grrrrr" emails gone Bad would be hilarious, and since each one has a back story, it would be fun to read. A great study on human behavior and how the best of us are caught doing what we preach against.:O))

More and more people are turning to payday loans as a better alternative than the fees that come with bounced checks and late fees. Personal finance is becoming a higher priority to many Americans. The top of the list this year for New Year's Resolutions is a tighter hold over the finances. There is never a bad time to cut down on your spending and reduce your overall debt, and now is as good a time as ever to get going on it. Some quick tips? Buy generic instead of brand name. The product is nearly identical, and you save money. Stay away from the credit cards! They are evil, and they don't do you a lot of good in the end. Find out how payday loans can help you achieve your financial goals.

Thank you Douglas for the great ideas. Generic is my favorite brand. I will take the name brand and the generic and read the differences, barely any. At the drugstores and grocery stores they all carry their own store brands, which are very similar to the name brands and at a lower cost.

Credit cards are also bad for you. If you don't have the cash, don't buy it. I prefer to pay it in cash or by ATM card.

Payday loans can be dangerous though. The interest charged on those are quite high, for instance the rate for $100 is an average of $17. You SHOULD always investigate what the costs are for these loans.

thanks for visiting and commenting.;o) ophelia

I need to remember resolution 3 for myself, but resolution 9, I'm okay about breaking.

Hey Rachel,

Ha. I will probably not stick to all of mine. :O) Ophelia
